Copycat IKEA Swedish Meatballs Recipe


Assalammualaikum and hello!Today i would like to share with you the IKEA Swedish Meatballs recipe.I think most of people who visited IKEA food court have tried this meatballs and like it.It's easy to make,delicious and the gravy is even tastes better than IKEA one.Later,you can make it on your own and serve to your family after read the recipe without having to queue at IKEA. You know how's the situation at the food court during weekend right?Most important you can control the amount of salt you put in your food because last time when i went to IKEA the gravy they made for the meatballs is too salty and its not good for kids or even us an adults.Now let's begin with the recipe:-


Meatballs :
1 Box ready made Meatballs MARINA brand (I was too lazy to make my own meatballs so i just bought at jusco)
or you can do your own meatballs by using this recipe.

MEATBALLS INGREDIENTS
1 lb ground beef
2 cloves minced garlic
1 egg
1/2 cup fresh milk 
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup breadcrumbs 
2 tablespoons butter 
salt
white pepper
1 dash allspice (optional)

GRAVY INGREDIENTS
2 tbsp butter
2 medium sized fresh tomatoes (Diced)
1 Yellow Onion (Diced)
1 1/2 cup cold water
1/2 cup fresh milk
2 tbsp oyster sauce
3 tbsp sweet soy sauce
3 tbsp ketchup
1 chicken stock cube
1 beef stock cube
1 1/2 tbsp white flour
2 tbsp black pepper sauce
1 tbsp ground black pepper
salt and sugar, to taste


Directions:
For Meatballs:.

1.Fry the onion till golden in a couple of tablespoons of lightly browned butter.
2. Mix all the ingredients until meatball consistency.
3.Flavour with salt, white pepper and (optional) a little finely crushed allspice.
4.Shape the mixture into relatively large, round balls and transfer to a floured cutting board.
5.Fry them slowly in plenty of butter.
  
Gravy:-

1.Melt butter in pan and  fry the onion till golden.Then add flour, whisk till golden brown and flour is cooked.
2.Add diced tomato,oyster sauce,ketchup,sweet soy sauce, black pepper sauce,ground black pepper ,milk,cold water,beef stock cube and chicken stock cube.
3.Season well with salt and sugar.
4.Wait till the gravy becomes slightly warm,put it in a blender or food processor and blend it.
5.Serve the meatballs with the sauce, steam veggies,mashed potato, and lingonberry jam.

I hope you will try this recipe.If you want to save your time just buy the ready made meatballs at supermarket.I love MARINA brand and haven't try any other brand.I think thats enough for today's post.I am wishing you a fabulous time and hope to see you on the next post soon
